MACRO PHOTO TOUR
6 DAYS 5 NIGHTS
Step into the heart of the Peruvian Amazon on an exclusive, expedition designed for wildlife photographers and true jungle explorers. Every day is carefully planned to place you in the most productive habitats for maximum encounters with amphibians, reptiles, birds, and rainforest wildlife.
This is a fully guided experience focused on high-quality sightings, photography opportunities, and access to prime wildlife locations rarely visited by others.
Day 1 — First Contact with the Jungle
Your journey begins with a deep introduction to the Amazon’s incredible micro-life.
We focus on:
- Tree frogs and calling amphibians emerging at dusk
- Pacman frogs hidden in leaf litter and forest edges
- A wide variety of nocturnal insects and macro life
This first night is all about immersion — learning to read the jungle, understand its rhythms, and begin your photographic journey into its hidden world.
Day 2–3 — Blackwater Macro & Nocturnal Wetlands
Your expedition pushes deeper into the Amazon as we journey to a new, remote location where water and forest merge into one of the richest wildlife zones on Earth.
Here, the nights come alive.
We will navigate rivers and flooded forests in search of black caimans and dwarf caimans, silently gliding through the dark waters. Along the muddy edges and hidden pools, we’ll look for Surinam toads, masters of camouflage, and a variety of aquatic snakes resting or hunting along the banks.
With some luck, we may also encounter giant river otters and iconic amazonian birds.
Day 4–5 — Canopy Colors & Hidden Predators
We move into a new ecosystem where dense forest, open canopy, and river edges create the perfect conditions for some of the Amazon’s most iconic species.
Here, we focus on both arboreal beauty and elusive predators.
High in the vegetation, we will search for the stunning emerald tree boa, perfectly coiled among branches, as well as the striking and highly sought-after coral snakes, masters of warning coloration.
During the day, the forest explodes with color and sound:
- Flocks of macaws flying overhead in pairs
- Unique and charismatic birds such as cotingas (canopy birds) displaying their vivid colors
- Rich birdlife activity across multiple forest layers
By night, the forest transforms again, giving us new chances to encounter secretive reptiles and amphibians under a completely different atmosphere.
